While caffeine rolled out finally and many sites’ rankings had frequent ups and downs in past 3-4 months, it’s high time to have a look at your conventional SEO campaign and give it a smart change to meet caffeine’s mood.

We’ve worked out on some inquiries from clients who were using best SEO companies and very strong link building methods but still had their rankings dropped for many keywords. Reason? Could be the speed of building those one-way links, frequent use of only few link building methods, not tracking what method is giving you low quality links and which one gave high quality but at higher cost. So many reasons. We took up some inquiries and ran some tests. Fortunately, 95% of them were successful and got their rankings up!

So, I’d like to share my ideas briefly on what to use and how

1- Unique article marketing - Instead of using mass submission to hundreds of new and crap sites, work on unique and high quality content marketing on top 10 sites only. Give variations of one-way backlinks in resource box. Not more than 10 articles every month would be recommended if you’re recovering dropped rankings

2- Start high quality and authority forum posting - Do some quality posts and contribute to the forums appropriately so you look like a genuine and real user, not a spammer for gaining sig links. These forums would anyway gives lot of help to boost up your rankings, so why to spam them? Contribute with good posts so they get indexed, popular and your sig links too get value

3 - Guest posts - Highly recommended but only on reputed niche blogs. Please note that I’m not talking about general contextual links here.

4 - Niche blog rolls - It goes similar to guest posts but as text links from blogrolls of very high quality blogs with sound backlinks themselves

5 - Use authority portals like Hubpages, suite101 and squidoo - These are very helpful to give you a quick and reliable help when your rankings are dropped. It’s like getting a recommendation when you need one critically. Don’t forget that these sites keep a strict check on spam, low quality and gives great do-follow links to high quality jobs.

And while concluding, needless to say, the link building campaign should be very slow, managed, scheduled and done properly. There are many other quality link building methods like press release to high end sites like PRweb.com but these could be bit costly for many. I’d love to discuss your thoughts on the same. Feel free to comment here or drop a  mail :)

Cheers!

Sandbox effect is nothing but Google’s attempt to reduce search engine spams. As the owner of an ethical website you can utilize this period in exploring many aspects that includes learning what Google expects from a website in order to enhance your online visibility.

Before we discuss on sandbox effect is, it should be noted that there are people who don’t even agree that any sandbox effect exists. The sandbox is a theory to explain what the SEO experts have found with their listings. Whether we agree or not, effects of the sandbox exist.

Google’s sandbox is a new filter that they put somewhere in 2004. This happened after the updates of Austin and Florida, known as the Austin update. The sandbox filter affects almost every new websites that are on the ‘probation’ status.

The effect of this filter comes with new websites when they may get into search engine results pages quickly and perform well for some time. But because of this filter, the new websites will not rank higher irrespective of original and well optimized content. This filter holds back new websites from getting quick success in search engine result pages. The challenge for webmasters and SEO services is that how to get your website out of sandbox effect.

The way to get out of sandbox effect

* The first and most important way to get out of sandbox effect is to wait. Since the sandbox is a temporary filter and it’s used only to reduce search engine spam, if you continue optimizing your website as it should optimized and built, you will eventually overcome the sandbox effect and join the mainstream of established websites.

  • The sandbox filter affects websites that are more competitive keyword driven. In order to minimize sandbox effect, use relatively less competitive but popular keywords.
  • If your site is in the sandbox, you can utilize this time to build your internet visibility and traffic resources outside the search engines. Usually, website owners tend to ignore other methods that are very effective in traffic building. These methods include community building, building inbound links with partnerships.
  • Create some free blogs like wordpress, blogspot and post good content with backlinks to your website. Make sure you stay regular in posting. Thrice a week is okay for posting.
  • As we already discussed link building plays a vital role in getting our site out of sandbox, manual directory submissions to quality web directories make a big difference. It pushes your website out of sandbox.

Google is going to great lengths in order to reduce search engine spam as there are spammers that faulted the established rules of search engine. While it may be the reason behind the use of sandbox filter, as the owner of a website you should ask yourself what Google expects in a website.

Google expects your website have quality content. Google may change procedure to check the quality of the site and the way to qualify content and inbound links, it still relies heavily on natural voting system and the basic aspects of a quality website are still the same. So create the website that Google simply cannot refuse.
